I'm running the trigger wheel and I'm wondereing can I also use the I/S ICM both together and if so what can I expect .....  or would they cancel each other out ....  now I have already swapped out the oem carb springs for the I/S springs and my FAT LADY she runns gooooood .....Thanks Old Geezer Richard

You can run with a 4 deg trigger wheel and IS ICM.  6 is not suggested, but some do it.  They do not cancel each other out, but add on to each other.  Since the IS is a little more advanced, some think 6 deg more is too much, and will cause knocking.

Hey Geezer. I'm looking to find out about the 4degree trigger wheel abd the ECT mod.
The trigger wheel moves the entire advance curve, the ECT mod increases advance below about 3,000 rpm. Mostly this is where the engine can use more advance, without over advance in the top end.
It will take me a while to get to it, maybe even next winter, but I'll post my obsearvations.
BTW, I think mid-grade or high test is a wise choice with a lot more advance. The aditional mileage will make up for the added cost of gas.(maybe  Roll Eyes )

Why is it that the more power an engine produces the harder old hot rodders twist on the throttle.
