Author Topic: "T" Where Fuel Line Connects to Carbs  (Read 1290 times)

This is in regards to a 2001 Standard.

I am getting fuel leakage from the plastic "T" that connects the fuel line to the carbs.  The part that is leaking is where the "T" connects to the carbs, and not from where the fuel line connects to the "T".  I installed new fuel line twice in one day and still had the leak.   ???  Upon closer inspection, it looks like the leak is where the "T" connects to the carbs.   On the fiche, it looks like some small O-rings seal the connection.   Has anybody found a generic part number that can replace insanely priced dealer parts?

To be clear, looking at the fiche at hdlparts for a 2001 Standard, the "T" i am talking about is #2 on the Carburetor (Tubing) fiche.   As luck would have it, you have to follow the connection over to the Carburetor (Assy.)  fiche to see where it connects into the carbs.

Thanks.

I didn't find a generic part these are very small O rings. I replaced mine a few weeks ago as I had petrol pouring out of the T piece.

Redeye does have them if you don't want to pay the Stealer for them.

Found the redeye site and noticed the have a complete carb O-ring kit.  I guess if i am going to dig into the carbs, i might as well do all the O-rings.

Thanks a bunch!!   cooldude

No problem. I am going to get the complete redeye kit and do a full rebuild over the winter.
