I recently hydroplaned and laid my bike down on the highway.  In the process I obviously ground  a crash bar.  In my search for a replacement I was thinking.  What if  someone made one out of a larger diameter tube with a thicker wall thickness?  Maybe out of Chrome Moly so it would be stronger?  Maybe with a highway peg mount built in right in the middle of the curve as it goes around the engine?
Then some cool tabs to mount some driving lights on?  Could possibly even have something across the bottom with "Valkyrie" laser cut into it?  Could be chrome or powdercoated black or ?

I am going to visit my Fab buddy tomorrow to see how much it will cost to meet all my visions.
So my questions to my fello fat lady riders are:

#1 What are your thoughts on a design that would meet the criteria above?

#2 What would you do different?

#3 Would you buy something like this?  What price would entice you to pull the trigger?

Thanks for in advance for your knowledge.

XF6 Design (a VRCC vendor) aleady makes one of the best "Crashbars/Floorboard mounts" ever.

I had a low speed crash last July that broke my clavicle and destroyed the left crash bar, left valve cover, mirro and clutch master cylinder.

After a long thought process, I'd come to the conclustion that there must be a better solution. I called Daryl at XF6 and we talked at length and after several calls he came up with a unique protection and alternative foot position device.

I can only say that it does work! I've had two spills since my inital installation and both times the bike was completely unscathed.

See the photo below for the extremely stout and comfortable system.
