1997 Valk - no power to ignition

This morning rode my bike up the Highway 40 Klms had a chat and coffee. No ignition.
Battery New . Ok. All fuses checked, power to Ignition switch in/out, starter switch in/out. No Lights.
All the resident experts mistified, towed home.
HELP!

The starter switch actually has 2 switches inside of it, one for the starter and one for the headlights. I agree on trying switch maintenance. Thats the common point for the troubles you mention.

Also....when you say "new battery" If you poured in the acid and just put it on the bike bike without a FULL trickle charge, well that "new" battery may be the culpret after all

Sounds like starter switch needs to be cleaned. Did you try and push start it or jump off another battery?
