I've got the first Droid and love it.  Lately, I've been thinking about the Droid X.  It's a little bigger.

Love my Droid, but don't use the keyboard because the keys are too small.  If I were to upgrade now it would be the Droid X not the Droid 2.  It doesn't have a keyboard but the screen is bigger and you can tether it to a laptop for internet access.

Is the DroidX available now? Was thinking about a I phone but I'm just not sold the idea.

The only reviews I have read are from Verizon's site.  The Droid X has 2100 reviewers and gets 4.5 stars and the Droid 2 has 400+ reviewers and gets 4.5 stars as well.  I don't have use for the slide out keyboard as the onscreen keyboard works very well.  Also, I would like to get rid of my usb aircard for my laptop which uses the same 3G network as the Droid except it costs me $60 a month.  And yes, the Droid X is available now.

Who said these devices are to make life easier between learning operating systems and all the little ins and outs plus quirks not to mention pass words I'm thinking I need a computer just to store this info. uglystupid2

I have the HTC Incredible, Droid  2.1. 8 megapixle camera (blazing fast, it actually takes the picture instantly when you push the button)
This is the best mobile smart phone I've ever had, and I've had a bunch. I am currently using swype as my keyboard , I'm Beta testing it, but it's the only way to text. As soon as it available publicly, I recommend it to anyone who's tired of tiny keyboards with chubby fingers. You just draw a line between the letters, and the software figures what you're trying to type , it's great.
The Incredible is really fast at everything, and for anyone who's ever suffered with a Windows based smart phone, THIS PHONE NEVER CRASHES!!!!
Conclusion, HTC Incredible Droid...best phone available other than I-phone, but the fact that it's on Verizon's network, and not that awful AT&T's, makes it the clear winner.

I just purchased a Droid X.  It's on backorder, but they're saying they will ship it to your address within 7-10 days of purchase.  They even have free classes to show you how to use everything on it.  I don't have any experrience with it, but my wife has an original Droid and loves it and a good riding buddy of mine has the X and loves it.  I've seen what the X can do and it's pretty amazing.
