I looked at the front rubber on the wing and it is a 130/70-18 so I figured that if it can allow the 1800 to handle the way it does why not try it on my F6, sooo I installed a Battlax BT023f GT sport tourer 120/70-17 on the Valk rim, I,ve put almost 1000 km on it, Handling at low speed is now like the GW 1800 (very stable), improvement. Cornering feels very light compared to the stock tire, much improved, road snakes now have no affect on the bike, high speed is more sensitive to input but very stable (I backed off at 160km/hr), feels more stable in the rain (up to 150km/hr) (can't prove rain handling cause I didn't wipe out) Lower noise level then the stock tire, lowers the front of the bike 1.5-2 in, reduces the trail (more sensitive handling) and reduces the lean angle on the sidestand. corning angle still seams OK (touches the pegs first)
With a smaller Wheel OD the speedo ran 20 km fast so I found a speedo drive unit from a CM 400 Honda that has a simular sized front wheel (24in OD), Lathed out the bore to fit the front axel and now the speedo reads the same as stock (5kmph fast) checked with GPS
This mod was drempt up over my morning cup of coffee and I will be running the small front rubber from now on, cause it works.

your right, from the front it looks kind of wierd, from the side it doesn't snap your head around to much,  I'll take handling over looks, I'm going to run the stock fender for a while, I think the fender from a Shadow would work as well, the one thing is that the fork shields would have to be attached to a different fender, more coffee !!!!!

And if it lowered the front of the bike that much it would also mean that you will start to hit hard parts at much less of a lean agle when cornering. Not good for an aggressive rider who likes to scrape pegs in the twisties.

Did this tire swap ease the low speed heavyness/clumsyness?
After my back surgery I haven't had the strength to handle my I/S.

My Rat Rod Valk has a badly worn front tire (left side), so this might work good on that one also.

by lowering the front end u have changed the rake and trail. This changed the handling. The tire had very little to do with it.

This is almost like what Vicki (TNT) Duffy did with her bike.

They built her too close to the cement so she had to do something to hold it up.
