My new tires just came. I was looking at them and was tring to figure out why they were so much cheaper than the ones I was quoted here local.

The tires I ordered from jakes Metzeler ME880 front and rear were $297.00
Local I was quoted $420.00 and he said that was 25% off.

I got to looking and the local guy was wanting to sell me a V speed rating front tire. (149 MPH)

The ones I ordered from Jakes are both H speed rating. (130 MPH)

I know I don't plan on driving 130 MPH.

What is the correct speed rating for a 2000 Standard?

Im pretty sure its 130. Now I know why I run a Dark Side rear tire, $110 for a Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread and it'll go 25,000 at least and handles better IMHO.
