I know whatcha mean! I've watched it five or six times... At one point the spousal unit came in to see what was wrong with me, with all the hooting and hollering and carrying on I was evidently doing...

what is that lever where the shifter would normally be? does he shift from 2 wheel drive to 4?
i would just love to run that thing around the track a couple laps.
It should be against the law to have that much fun and get paid for it!!!!

Its probably an independant brake lever for the rear wheels. Smiley

I've watched this thing a couple of times and the car control he has is unbelievable! As for the tires, when someone else pays for them it
s no big deal I guess! Grin

I was thinking it was for the front wheels. Whatever, it's for, it seems to work  Cool

Most European cars have a "hand brake" equivalent to the American parkign brake. The hand brake activates the rear brakes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handbrake_turn

The overlong handbrake lever in the video puts the lever within close access to the drivers hand.

I used to be pretty good at hand brake turns in my Ford Escort RS whihc was front wheel drive.
