Took the tank off again.  Replacing air filter, installing a quick disconnect kit and was going to extend that little vent line that's at the back/center of the tank so it would make it easier to remove the tank in the future.

While I have the tank off, I was looking down at where that vent line goes.....and way down there is a tee.  It's un-capped.  There's no other line there as if there was supposed to be a line there at one time.  The rest of the vent line travels on down and under the bike like it's supposed to.

I haven't found any drawings that show that little tee.

Is there supposed to be a line coming off of that tee going somewhere.....should it be capped.....or is it fine like it is?

Here's a pic......hope you can see what I'm talking about.......

That T is suppose to be there. It goes nowhere. It's function is to break a syphon if one should start in the vent line. Prevents draining the tank.

And it is really there for wet weather riding, so when water splashes up into the hose at the bottom it will not stop the tank from breathing and cause gas to NOT flow into the carbs.
