The best one I could think of with a statement like that is;

Go the Darkside and get a car tire!

1 car tire has about 50-80K life. Compare that to a MC tire at 10-15K life, that would mean, at even double the price for a CT over a MC tire, you would still have a 5x life span. But CT are cheaper than a MC tire. So don't only base it on how much money you spend, but the life of the tire.

Goodyear Assurance Tripletred (205/60/R16) at Sears I found for $106
Dunlop E3 for $115

Cheap can be found...

Cheap AND rated for the weight of a Valkyrie... not so easy.

The cheapest front tire I could find was $160.  The rear will cost about the same.

I run a CT on the back.  Avon H4S for about $60 delivered.

J&P Cycles has a Shinko rear for $150something & a Bridgestone Exedra for about the same. Unless you live near a J&P store to pick it up I would imagine the freight would be a bit much.
Jake Wilson? Dennis Kirk?
Shipping would always be a consideration.

I put my first car tire on around late 1999 early 2000  Undecided  I've never seen over 12,000 miles on one but then again I don't run the one's that come on Grand-ma's Buick either. You folks runnin' those high mile hard as rock compound tires need to keep in mind that rear tire needs to come off from time to time ...Final drives are gettin' harder and harder to find and without maintence every 12,000 miles or so you WILL be needing one.

Points well take. I've just mounted my first car tire, on a spare rim, so also am looking at all I should do when I get around to installing. Seems with 50K on the bike, this is going to happen during the winter when I'm not riding, and will involve all moving parts on the rear. Once a CT is mounted, it will require an annual/10K miles relubing. But that's another story.

I've found the TT rated at 80K miles, so I felt running it on a MC I should get something closer to the 80K, than the 10K of a MC tire on a little old light bike like a Valk. Are you saying that a "regular" CT shouldn't expect that kind of mileage when used on a MC? Or is it specific to your type of CT (high performance, softer rubber, low mileage rating, psi) that makes the difference?

I didn't ask why he wanted a cheap tire. I take it it could be because he's selling the bike, needs to replace now to continue riding but wants something else later, or one of many other reasons.

A better reply may have been, Dennis, why do you want a cheap tire, give us some guide lines to follow for your selection, price, riding, etc, so we could better answer your question?

I got a Goodyear Assurance TripleTred 205 60 16 from tire Rack delivered for $112 (I did not get it from Joe's Grandma's Buick  Roll Eyes).  It now has 23-4K miles and looks a little over half gone.  Rides better than it did brand new.  YMMV

PS,  I seriously doubt anyone can find a new rear E3 for $115.

I suspect the cheapest bike tire available is a Shinko.

In this instance of the thread I wont use the word cheap, but this time it is VERY inexpensive, because I do not want to "cheapen" the very High Value offer that was made.

No, USE cheap.  That OEM tire is a cheap tire.  It will give 5-9K miles but at least it sticks in the curves ok..........its cheap, but for free Id run it for awile if I needed to.
