New Technology in 2007, better designs and tranny.

Easy Clutch and easier transmission.

No oil consumption at all and no drips.

96 cubes of relentless power and longevity.

This is not your fathers Harley.

No trips to the service shop at all.

29,000 on the clock.

53,000 on the Valkyrie and ride both of them equally hard.

Let's see which one breaks down first.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Wait till you hit 50k and your stator, compensator sproket, and timing chains goes. Then again this is on the TC88's.  Undecided After seeing all the work that needed done this year out west on them TC, it turned me off. May have to go for the Evo's instead.

If I still have my Electra Glide when she turns 50K I think I will pull the motor and puts some power componants in there and replace what's worn. I've put over 1000 miles on her in less than 3 weeks only 30K to go. Ride on Big Al.

99 Valk I/S 102K runs like she did new.

97 Standard with 42K miles will run off and leave most Harleys.

I still like variety.

Relentless does not mean,,,, all powerful.

It means it keeps on ticking after it takes a licking.

Like when I am on the Gas or Gassed.

It still fires up no matter what and takes me where I want to go.

Fudgie there ain't no timing chain. But there is some chains that time the cams.

Will get rid of those as soon as my 5 year warranty  gives up.

What a waste of money, a 5 year warranty that I have never used.

Andrews Gear Drive Cams and some hopped up cams soon.

A twisty road does have a limit...I hope that no more of my friends or myself ever find it.

For only 1800 dollars and little bit of elbow grease I had a buddy take his 96 incher

to the 117 hp level and it actually pulls the front wheel off the ground when he

hammers it a little on a gear change.

Heads and Cams make all the difference, it's not just the inches that matter.

103 incher has the same cams from Harley as the 96 incher , just more torque.

For instance the Victory 106 has more horses but the 1/4 mile times against the Harley

are almost identical.

Torque on the Harley comes on earlier and is more effective.

10 cubes difference but practically the same performance.

I rode an '86 FXRD Tour Glide until 2005 and 99K miles.  It was NOT trouble free, but only required one major overhaul, and multiple electrical repairs, and the rear jug leaked a little oil on every ride after 50K, but not enough to ever hit the ground.  It ran about 84HP with mods and could out lean the Valk with floorboards.  I had planned to keep it forever, but after I got my IS, I just never rode it anymore, so I sold in to a guy in CA with 50lbs of OE (unobtainable) parts.

And a few others (Mean Streak too Al), but now just two Valks.

Keeping the front end down from a hole shot on a Blown Valk with the car tire is a serious problem, i lean forward so much i hit the windshield with my head, the real challenge is trying Not to wheelstand this thing, With the Wife on the back it is OUTRIGHT    DANGEROUS...if you dare in first at a roll 2 up hit the gas you will look straight UP!!! It hurts my rib's....usually my left side.....from getting punched by the Wife  Grin

The Evo's were not "honda like" either...just had more time to make repairs !
