I saw some posts saying that the Factory Pro CRB-H78-1.0 jet kit for the Valkyrie is no longer available.  Here is an email I sent to Factory Pro confirming that the kit is still available.   Smiley  (No affiliation to Factory Pro).

Question to Factory Pro:
Is the CRB-H78-1.0 kit still available for the 2001 Honda Valkyrie standard?  I ordered a kit from my local retailer and has it on backorder.  I would like to confirm that the kits are still being manufactured.

Answer from Factory Pro:
Still available.

Search factory pro h78 Valkyrie and you can get it at Factory Pro and a bunch of other places.

Thanks,

Marc

What email addy did you use to contact Factory Pro? I have been on their site a few times but have never noticed their email. I need to contact them for information about a jet kit for another bike.
Thanks!  Smiley

HDL was out till October, a vendor on FleaBay refunded my payment after telling me she couldn't get any until October as well.  I went straight to the Factory Pro website http://www.factorypro.com on Tuesday of this week and called the 1-800 number.

The person I talked to was very knowledgable and told me he could put that kit together for me.  Ordered it Tuesday afternoon and it arrived at my house via ups 3 day delivery on Friday.  $139.95 + $10 shipping.

I assembled my carbs yesterday and hope to install this weekend!   cooldude

Just a note:  He told me that since I live at 6000ft and frequently ride above 10000ft, that I should use 95 mains on the front two cylinders (instead of 98's) and 98's on the rear four (instead of 100's).  He also said they have done extensive testing on our bikes at all altitudes.  I thought that interesting.

What is normally done in conjunction with that kit? And, what kind of improvements are to be expected with performance?

Typically, any aftermarket exhaust that reduces backpressure and increases flow will lean out our carbs.  The Factory Pro kit has 38 slow jets and adjustable needles to richen the fuel/air mixture and hopefully increase performance.  If you believe what they say you can expect several hp gain.

Hmmm, I already have #38 slow jets and an aftermarket exhaust with a K&N filter and I/S ICM using a 4 deg trigger wheel. It scoots pretty good and I get in the mid-upper 30's in mileage. Guess I'll leave well enough alone.
