After several experiences installing Kuryakyn products, I'm convinced they would be better off providing the following instructions instead of the feeble attempt they make at explaining what you are supposed to do:
"Here are the parts. You figure it out. We threw in a couple pictures that are kind of small and blurry, but do the best you can. Oh, by the way, some of the parts may not fit just right and we may have either omitted some or sent the wrong size on others.
ps. If this is an upgrade for an oem item, you will need to use some of the components from the oem assembly such as springs, clips, and bearing with our parts because, even though we've charged you hundreds of dollars for the upgrade, we're too cheap to throw in those mickey mouse components, plus that way you will not be able to sell the used oem stuff because it is not complete. Otherwise, it might prevent us from making another sale.
pss. If you get stuck and need to call us for tech support, be advised that you may have to call several times before you reach the right tech person that is actually familiar with the particular accessory you are attempting to install, providing there is one."

Sorry for laughing John...........but I got this mental picture of you sitting in a pile of nuts and bolts springs pranging everywhere and parts that dont make sense....kinda like in the old days putting the kids bicycles together when just about nothing was assembled for you, the store charges a fortune to do it for you so you say forget that I can do it...........famous last words, you are lucky to have it together by Christmas morning and have it work too

I have the Kury ISO grips, the spark plug covers, and the tranny covers. Haven't had a problem installing them with the instructions provided and they look great! Sorry for your experience.

I got quite a chuckle from that OP..... but you could probably replace Kuryakyn with Big Bike Parts, Rivco or whatever and it would still be applicable.

At least they're better than instructions translated from Chinese.
"Turn screw in anti-clockwise movement to prevent the firing of the screw."

I feel your pain. I have wrestled with a few Kury installs dealing with too short bolts, etc. LOL

What prompted my message was frustration with a simple install of some passenger boards for my Wing. The oem bearings they wanted me to use didn't appear to be the right size, so I wasted hours talking to Honda re. whether there had been a design change, then several dealership service depts. to see if they had experienced the problem, then searching hardwares for the right ones, only to find out after another call to Kury that, with the use of a spring to hold the bearing in place, the small oem one would actually work. Then I went to install the boards only to find that the hole in the only washers they provided was so big the bolts to be used with them completely passed through them.

And you can't even say: "You get what you pay for." I feel your pain, but at least it's done, and knowing Kury, it probably looks great too.
