We rode out early in fact before daylight headin' for The Great Smoky Mountains. Hit The Blue Ridge Parkway in Cherokee, North Carolina and took it all the way to Asheville. Here's a couple pictures I took at The Devil's Court House on The Blue Ridge Parkway.

We made great time both crossing The Great Smoky Mountains and on The Blue Ridge Parkway with very little traffic to deal with.We rolled into Fletcher about 11:30 and the place was pretty well packed with the Winger's.I'm guessin' the rally had 50 plus vendors and I ask most of them if they had any old dusty cardboard box's with Valkyrie goodies in them...No luck  Sad

Check out this sign...Wonder how they ever came up with this name  ???

Let me guess  Wink

Took a few pictures and saw some beautiful blinged out Wings this Dark Side front caught my eye  Shocked

I also saw a few motorcycles in the sea of tupperware and chrome.

Couple pictures I took for RJ as I know he owns one of these.

I will give them Winger's one thing ....They know how to give-a-way a awesome Grand Prize for attending the rally....This bike was sharp and was my favorite Goldwing I saw the entire trip and we saw a bunch of Wings not only at the rally but on The Blue Ridge Parkway as well.

Paul and I rode up with four Goldwings and returned with one as the rest was having " Stuff " installed at the vendors . Gettin' home did'nt go as smooth as getting there . This is Paul's friend Roy who had a big ass #8 nail hangin' in his rear tire....We plugged it and he was able to ride on home with the repair.

After the flat we hit hard rain just outside Hot Springs , NC and waited out the worse part under this cover at a local Church...All and all a outstanding ride  cooldude

Yup....Wings Over the Smokies, it's been called that from its inception many years ago. About the only Wing rally I ever cared for because of the good riding in the surrounding area. Last time I was there was probably 6-7 yrs. ago, rode up from Franklin, NC with some people I know and got PO'd with their riding on the way back. We got caught in the rain, but two of them were like little boys not to be outdone by each other and darn near got one of them killed. I just hung back and let them go, they'd get 2-3 miles ahead and stop to wait for me. Soon as I'd catch up they'd take off like bandits again, scraping pegs and almost dumping their rides on wet roads....stupid riding after a rain. One missed going off a high curve by only inches, literally left a tire mark in gravel that was less than my hand spread from the edge. I commented "you guys are idiots in these conditions" then got on my Valk and left. When I got back to the place we were staying, I loaded up the bike and we left. My wife can't ride anymore so if I want her with me on a trip, we have to trailer the bike. I haven't been back since to visit them or attend the rally.

So in two weekends that's at least two tires you have Plugged.

For other people.

Did you pump the tire back up for him too?

One on a Heritage Softtail and now a Wing Dinger.

So it's true,, ya'll just ride around and help people.
