Lindsay Lohan,24,is all over the news because she's a celebrity drug addict. While Justin Allen 23, Brett Linley 29, Matthew Weikert 29, Justus Bartett 27, Dave Santos 21, Chase Stanley 21, Jesse Reed 26, Matthew Johnson21, Zachary Fisher 24, Brandon King 23, Christopher Goeke 23 , and Sheldon Tate 27 are all Marines that gave their lives this week, no media mention at all. tickedoff

To the continuing shame and discredit of the Media Bob.

What the vast majority of the Hollywoodians do, think or say is simply irrelevant and no more important than my brand of toilet paper.

LiLo as she is called in England gets regular press in the popular papers. Really quite sad.

Not what you could call media attention, but ABC news show This Week always ends their Sunday morning telecast with a listing of all the service people killed in the line of duty over the past week. I try not to miss it as it is a very sobering reminder of the cost. Our officials are much more concerned about winning elections than they are wars.

It is ashamed that people today pay more attention to total dysfunction of the freaks in Hollywood that make millions from bad press. And the press is to blame. It's all about money a ratings. Those people tend to forget about the people that payed the ultimate sacrifice that allows them the freedom to act any old way they want. If you don't stand behind our military, feel free to stand in front of them.

One of the many things I like about The Newshour on PBS is that they never talk about
Lindsay Lohan.

Another thing I like is that they silently show the pictures and names of those killed in action
as the information becomes public, at least once a week...

Well I work for a newspaper and I can tell you that media bashing, while fashionable is misinformed. Some of the same folks compiling about no coverage now where happily complaining about "flag draped coffins" when the previous administration tried to keep it OUT of the media.
If you can't find a vene far enough on the wacky right with the likes of Limbaugh and Beck over on FOX, I'll guess the media does look liberal.
There is a lot of coverage of celebs because the American people pay a lot of money to see it. This isn't theory or my opinion. It's capitalism at its finest. Not surprising from a country that couldn't afford armor for it's troops, but finds a way to keep multi million dollar athletes playing at billion dollar venues.

Interesting..... except I find Mssrs. Limbaugh and Beck to be just right of center, and not wacky at all.

I do agree if people would stop reading about and listening to sensational Hollywoodian press coverage, the media might stop talking about it.

You mean when the previous administration put the brakes on the ghouls using dead Americans to make a statement? As a vet I find that that lack of class generated by the media is the cause of LiLo and ilk.

Especially when it distorts the truth to lean it toward their opinion. After the "assault weapons ban" A TOTALLY MEDIA MADE UP NAME for items that were, and could NEVER be shown to be "the choice of weapon for drug dealers" or the "cop killer bullet" LIE. Just for 2 glaring examples.
BTW, FOX news (not opinion shows) normally hits pretty close to 50-50 in external right left surveys. Guess where the rest land? (what they call news, not opinion shows)

Distortion of truth in bold. Rest my case.
