The hill country run is getting close fast.  It is time to decide on where to eat Friday and Saturday night.  Last time we were in Kerrville, we hit the Cowboy Steakhouse on Friday night, and the Lakehouse on Saturday.  When I raised the question of whether to return to the same locations, at the Houston chapter meeting recently, I didn't get any objections, nor any counter-suggestions.  So, I'm now raising it to the larger group.  Did everyone like those places?  Any other suggestions?

I remember Cowboy treating us quite well with a changing number of people arriving by the minute, and good service.  Lakehouse was similar.  Both seemed to be good food to me, so unless I get some other ideas, we'll be headed back there.

I talked with my Dad last night and he mentioned a place called Koyote Ranch that has a Friday Night all you can eat catfish fry.  Neither of us has been there so I can't really speak to how good it is, but I thought I would throw it out there for the sake of discussion.

I hope I'm not the only vegetarian in the group. Something to keep in mind.

I am good for anything.  Liz and I ate lunch at a place called the lakehouse 2 weeks ago Saturday in Kerrville.  The Catfish, both broiled and fried was pretty good.  Folks were friendly too.  But hell, I will eat anywhere! 2funny

Mark, you and your group know a lot more about that area and places to eat than most of us up North.

However,  now that I've said that, I'm sure you'll get some suggestions from my local brethern.

Last year all of your planning was right on target so -- GO FOR IT!  cooldude

Check menus at:

and
http://www.cowboysteakhouse.com/
and let me know if there's anything there that you can eat.  Alternate suggestions of locations are solicited.

That's one of the ones on the list already!  Thanks, Steve.

Koyote Ranch would require a run down 16 and back at night, which has already had some concerns about construction and deer.  I think staying in town would be advisable.

Understood, I was just throwing it out there as an option.
