My Harley riding bubby Greg and I met at Starbucks this morning (his choice) in Humble  and headed north. We decided to hit some back roads to get to our choice of the Waverly House Cafe in New Waverly, Texas. I sure was surprised to see 18 bikes in the parking lot as we pulled in, most HDs, one triumph, and a purple valkyrie standard with leather bags. So after placing our order I ask the waitress if she knew which guy was riding the valk in the parking lot. She looked at me as if I was from some other planet. Anyway it turned out to be the guy across the isle from our table. He had been to the board sveral times but never joined, said he was a lurker and might sign on in the further. Well back to the food, one word OUTSTANDING. I had the chicken fried steak, two fried eggs , hashbrowns and it came with a cathead bisquit as big as your fist. The server took a second look at me when I told to cover the whole plate with gravy, . It was more than I could eat but I did give it my best effort. Greg had more of his standard bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and one of them bisquits, And he just got a small bowl of gravy. The wimp. Well  we feasted then hit some more back roads up to Cleveland and then 59 south back to Kingwood where he lives, all total 135 miles and still home before noon. The weather could not not been any better. See ya at the stompfest!!
