Good morning
 i have just aquired a 99 Valkyrie standard , 40,000 km , it shifts rough , hard not to clash gears
 I assume this is a wet clutch , my Gl 1000 required oil which did not have  friction modifiers , ie Rotella -does this bike have the same requirements

Yes and yes.

Also they are big honking square cut gears. Preload the shifter as you are getting ready to shift...ie pull up a bit on it as you start to shift and then be firm with it.

The PL14610 also fits a 2002 Honda Civic that we also have.
Have also used the Mobil 1 M1-110.
