whiney, shrilley noise...new to me

i hear this noise when going up hill (not even a steep one) and the throttle under pressure.
when i left off the throttle the whiney shrilley thingey noise stops.
this just started and i have no idea what it is.
any ideas?????????

I had a noise like that...now my wife rides her own bike...problem solved.

Kind of sounds like the big long bolt at the front of the motor that goes all the way across.
Have someone hold one side and you hit the other side with a good impact wrench.
Solved my problem.....

check behind the intake where the vacuum lines attach. If your bike is stock there will be a vacuum line on #3,#4, and #6. The others will have caps. The most common problem is that the lines get soft and mushy near the attachment point on the back of the intakes and will split, that causes a shrill whistling noise.

If the sound is around 50-55mph its probably the square cut gears our bikes have.....they all whine a bit at that speed.......I didnt notice it until I put a windshield on now I am used ot it and dont really hear it unless I try to
