Dude ... Have  you ever been to "Kellyville"?   ??? It is only an intersection of hwy 729 into hwy 49. It has one building that is mainly a bait store and it has two gas pumps. Thats it!!!   That is where we buy our minnows when we fish Lake O the Pines for crappie in the winter.  Is there something there that I do not know about???   Blackburns syrup works is on hwy 49 back toward Jefferson. Jefferson has antique stores downtown and is know for ghost. Jefferson use to be a major river shipping town in the cotton crop days, river boats use to come up to it.  I would like to know what yall are planning to take pictures of in "Kellyville".  Grin

Bartman is correct.  This is to take a picture of the city limit sign but there appear to be some nice roads on the way out there.  I had asked before if anyone had any suggestions as to roads to ride in that area, so if you have an idea, let's hear it and I'll change the ride.  But Kellyville is a sign we need and we haven't ridden in this direction in a while.

That was the only thing we could think of that was needed. Just wanted to let you know what to expect when you get there.  Yall could swing back and find Texas Rangers new place on the way home, west of Gilmer. From Gilmer, take  hwy154 west. Go to  2869 north just past Rhonesboro.  Take CR 4596 (east) off of 2869 and follow it around till CR 4590 Y's into it from the left side. TXRangers place is on 4590.

Nuther way:  Take HWY 852 north off HWY 154 west out of Gilmer till it runs into HWY 2088. Left on 2088 past Perryvile till you come to CR 4590 on left (south).  4590 is TXRangers road.

Good ride. Picked up John Steifer along the route.  Then, met some locals in Jefferson and ate some good food with them at the local biker friendly tavern.  New friends were promoting the end of October "Boo Rally" in Jefferson, which sounded like fun.

Next time, we'll take in Uncertain and some catfish out that way.

Thanks to Rainmaker for a good route, especially Dahlia Rd that had a canopy of trees over it (shade), and for not making it rain today.

later......

So sorry I missed it.  Too many had-tos and ought-tos got in the way of the wanted-to.
