Just noticed I have a leaky fork seal on the right side on my I/S.  It has over 90,000 miles on it and so it doesn't surprise me.  I want to replace the springs with Progressives so in addition to the seal kits what other parts should be replaced?  Thanks in advance, Mike

This will do it.  $88.16 in parts.  Pretty reasonable.
Make sure you get the proper amount of oil in the forks.  I would suggest the "dipstick" method.   Wink  But since you will be replacing the springs, you should be able to get all traces of oil out and then just use the correct amount using liquid measure.

PS
I wrote up step-by-step instructions on how I did the job.  But, I didn't replace the springs.  That was done several years ago by a dealer.  They may still be helpful.  I did this on my I/S.

BUSH, GUIDE

SEAL SET, FR. FORK

BUSH, SLIDER

O-RING (44.7X2.4)

If you have a factory manual, it says to remove the fairing. Ya don't need to. Just reach under it and loosen the pinch bolts to slide the forks out. Be sure to loosen the top pinch bolt first and then loosen the top cap on the fork before loosening the lower pinch bolts.

I did mine this summer. Not a hard job to do. I did not need to buy the special tool to remove the LH fork tube nut as I did not replace the springs, so I didn't have to remove the nut at all. But my understanding is that if you're going to change the springs, you'll need the special tool. You might as well order it at the same time, unless you know someone from which you could borrow it.

Good luck!
