One of the guys in our group had one of his carbs leak gas into the cyclinders and cause it to lock up and not start. We've pulled the carbs and are cleaning them and replaceing the needle seats (float valves) my question, is there any thing else that can cause the cyclinder to flood besides the needle seat not sealing??? Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

The fuel valve needs to be replaced on the petcock.  It is referred to as the "Cover Set".  The valve should not let fuel flow without vacuum from the #6 intake manifold...no matter what position the fuel cut off valve is in.
