Looking for a small coolant temp gauge. Any suggestions on where I might be able to locate one. I hate idiot lights and need a small gauge to mount on the handle bars of my I/S. Thanks

Teltru makes a dipstick with a gauge that I've seen on a few valks. http://www.teltru.com/s-95-honda-motorcycles.aspx

I second the TelTru dipstick gauge, although it measures oil temp, not water. However, that said, I've found the oil and water temps correlate very closely. I found a water temp gauge that is built in to the radiator cap, and have had no problems with it for the past few years. Although not real easy to see on my Interstate, I can read it when I need to see the temp. I'll look for the company/brand.

I have the Dipstick replacement temp gauge that I got from Big Mike and it seems to work well..... when it says about 205-210 the fan comes on... might be a little off, but gives you a very good idea of Water/Oil/Motor temp..... Can be seen as you go down the road, as long as the key is out of the way and you lean out a bit... easy install ( like 30 seconds!) and once you get used to checking the oil with it, no problems. I usually use a paper towel to read the level because clean oil can be hard to see on it.

I already installed the oil temp dipstick, one of the first add ons that I got and looks very cool too. Like I said above, not a big fan on idiot lights. Am very interested in the radiator cap gauge. Joefromperry can you email me pics and where you purchased it. thanks

For anyone with the Teltru dipstick thermometer, are you happy with the size? Or does the gauge seem too large (both 1 3/4 " and 2" sizes) like a thermometer you would stick in a turkey. http://www.madcorider.com/tempstick.html This company makes one with a smaller chrome gauge not much bigger than the chrome dipstick I use now. I think I may go to Motosens gauges when I get around to it. I really like the look and like to have that info available when I ride.

For those who may not know, the Motosen gauges were built specifically for the Valk. The guy who makes them is (or at least was,) a Valk owner. The gauges match the speedo/tach almost identically. As has been mentioned, they're high quality.
