Its really an a mazing thing (hurricanes). Im here in FL....a few years ago Hurricane Dennis I think took the ridge vent off the family room and you all know what parks in the family room!!!!!

So the winds were 115mph, too high to get on the rood, but luckily so high it didnt let very much water in the hole from the ridge vent.
I moved the bike and put containers to catch dripping water and waited. When the wind dropped below 100mph I grabbed the hammer, nails and roofing shingles and braved it.
Looking back, was it bravery or stipidity????? LOL but there I was straddling the ridge vent nailing on shingles in 85mph winds.
