Romp in the Swamp

Friday
Anyone who gets in early is welcome to drop by our home (see directions to the party) 12035 Arthur Clouatre Rd, Saint Amant, LA cell: (225)978-8234 Jacki or (225)936-8231 Ron
Friday Evening
Holiday Inn (Patio) of Mike Andersons: Good food here & they usually have live music. (You pay)
Saturday
9:30 am: Meet at the Holiday Inn parking lot. You will be riding the following roads;
Highway 22 to Mandeville
Highway 25 to 190
Highway 21/36 to Abita Springs
Lunch at Abita Springs (you pay)
Ride back via Highway 36 to 190
Highway 190 / 25 N to Highway 40W which joins 442W
Highway 63 at Livingston to 42
Highway 42 to Port Vincent
Highway 431 – turns into 30…. Back at the Holiday Inn
6:00pm: The first van will be picking up anyone who does not want to ride his or her bikes to the Halloween Costume Party. (Costumes are encouraged but not required). We will go to both the Best Western & the Holiday Inn. If you are staying at another location and want a ride, please let one of us know so we can pick you up.
6:30pm: Supper
Cochon de lait (roast pig – Cajun style) & rolls
Shrimp & Corn Soup
Jambalaya
Salad
We will also have dessert & an assortment of party food later in the evening. The party is BYOB. We will be providing mixers, Witches Brew & Coffee.
RedValk will be DJ’ing the night away for us.
We have five costume contest categories:
1. Darkest Costume
2. Spicy or Saucy Costume
3. Most Hexing
4. Sweetest
5. Best Overall
The first van ride back to the hotel rooms will be at 9:00pm and once every hour after at the top of the hour.
Sunday
Ride home safely. We enjoyed having y’all and hope come back to the Swamps next year!

Denise and I hope to be leaving arround 10am Friday and stopping by Steamboat Bill's in Lake Charles about noon to start our binge eat of cajun food for the entire weekend. Then ease on over to Gonzales by arround 4.30 or 5. See ya there.  |

If you are looking to ride on Friday with a group - call & we can give you some great ideas. Or if you want to ride with a group, Wetpaint will take you out at 1pm (after his chores). Meet at our home on Arthur Clouatre Rd.

Lots of traffic (Road construction) in the mornings and afternoons on I-10 south from Baton Rouge. Might consider taking the Nicholson exit (Highway 30) off of the Mississipi River Bridge. This will go though LSU, St. Gabriel (lots of troopers here) and into Gonzales on the west side at the Tanger mall next to I-10.
3 state troopers writing tickets today on Highway 63 just south of Livingston. Saw them on my way to work. Rough road when you turn off of 63 onto 42 till you get to the Moonlight Inn (Bar).
Ride safe.
Did not sign up, but will try to make it Saturday sometime. Ron, I work with your cousin Glenn.
