I have a chance to buy a rear drive, drive shaft, swing arm, triple tree, hard bags and mounts, rear wheel with a new tire. It is off a 15K Interstate that has been triked.  All in excellent condition.  What's it worth?  Hoser

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

1. people don't generally go to the trouble of triking junkers...

2. I got an awesome swingarm/pumpkin/shaft/caliper/flange from a trike project for about $300 last year, and thought it was a good price.

3. good bags and mounts are worth $1000 or more, especially if they are the right color for the person who ends up
    using/buying them.

It would be a great deal at $1250.   Get it for what you can.

It is worth what you  are (or someone else is) willing to pay for it actually.  You can buy the package and sell what you don't care to hold on to or keep the whole thing.    Oh... and I wonder if the kick stand, rear brake caliper and reservoir come with (as they did on a package I got awhile ago).

Ask about the kickstand and the kickstand spring. Trikes don't need 'em. Might be nice to have in your tool box for a rainy day.

I paid about 300 for my slighlty used rear end although at the time when I needed to swap out my pumpkin I would have paid just about anything. Glad a VRCC member didn't ask me to pay everything.

If I decide to buy a spare I would probably want to spend less than I did for the emergancy one but expect it to take longer to find a lower price.

I didn't get bags or triple tree or the other high end high dollar items on your list, so I don't know what that would cost.

Triple tree's are pretty cheap on eBay when they don't have the forks attached  Wink

I got the best eBay triple tree deal out there, I bet ($80+/-)... when I replaced my head bearings,
it was nice to skip the step where you remove and replace the lower bearing and race...

Hoser,

My thoughts are; (very conservative pricing)

rear drive                                                    150
swing arm                                                     50
drive shaft                                                   100
bags and mounts                                         800
rear wheel and tire                                      200
                                                                  ====
                                                                   1300 Plus

If you paid those prices you could always sell some of the items for what you paid for them (plus) in the event you needed to re-coup some of your money.
If you were going to buy it all and save the seller some time and aggravation, offer less, I would start at 800 to 900  and hope to get it for 1,000 or so.
