We had ( 5 ) Valkyrie's ( 1 ) Harley and ( 1 ) Kawasaki Concours show up this morning ...We lost one of the Valk's before we ever left the parking lot ( called into work  ) . We took the long way and made a close to 250 mile round trip out of the ride today to Fall Creek Falls.Picture below taken at the hook-up point Hardree's in Clinton, TN.

Picture below was taken near Rockwood, Tennessee where the Scout Master and seven members of Troop 45, Rockwood, Tennessee who lost their lives in a flood on March 23, 1929.

Here's a couple pic's I took from the internet that show the Memorial alittle better.

Big Al at The Boy Scouts Of America Memorial.

Soon after leaving the Memorial our riding bud Jack started having some chest pains to the point of eating nitro pills  He's had heart surgey some years ago.He told us he was feeling better so we rode on to Fall Creek Falls.Picture below of Jack who rides a Kawasaki Concours and rides with us often.

We went to Fall Creek Falls and did'nt even walk down to the falls...So no waterfall picture ( the link below has some pictures and information about Fall Creek Falls  State Park ) ...We did hit the hog trough ( buffet ) at the State Park resturant.Very good food and reasonable priced ( the catfish was awesome ) .These next few pictures was taken on the ride around the rim of the gorge at Buzzard Roost

I missed an awesome ride to the Falls but met some great guys!  I look forward to riding with them in the near future.  I did get to drain the oil and replaced with Amsoil 20W/50 bike oil and filter.  Still have to pull the wheel, service the splines and gear oil.  Another weekend!

Hey Joe,

When the economy gets better and I start to work again (construction-retail stores) I'd like to join one of your riding events.  You get out on the road alot and I enjoy reading about the trips.  How many miles to you log a year?

I have a few bucket list rides I intend to enjoy, some of which are in your neighborhood, another is a cross-country on US 50.

Your pictures and ride reports are enjoyed by many I am sure.  Keep it up.

My best year ever was 2008 with 31,000 miles on my bikes most of those miles was put on a Suzuki Bandit 1200S (I miss that bike and I've wished many times I did'nt sell it ) .

That Boy Scout memorial is really sad.  My son’s a boy scout, you never think about what could go wrong, but I guess, anything’s possible.  Saw one family lost two sons.  That’s tough.

As usual....great post and great pics.

We rode today.  Up through Elijay along Broadtown Rd. and up across 64 along the Ocoee River for lunch in Telico Plains and south back home.  Perfect riding weather but surprisingly few bikes on the road.

Take care my friend.
