164HP, 94flbs of torque, 30" seat height and well less than 500 lbs. Odd looks but not a boring bike I'm sure.

I was looking at some other new kind of Ducati with a similar frame (all those red tubes) at
the Philips Motel last week... it seemed really cool and high tech... as for the devil... hard to
put bags on a bike with all the exhaust pipes on one side... I bet it would be fun to ride, though...

At a quick glance, it puts me in mind of a V-max

Something better.  Concours 1400, great ergos, very fast and handling thats better than excellent, bags standard, or take the ZX14, and add a set of Givis for a ICBM that will leave you gasping for breath.

I want one.  Then again, I liked the BMW 1200c, also.
I like outside the box thinking.

Yeah, the boy's Ducati Monster is the same way with the high pipes. He's done more than one 600 mile day on it and been fresh when we stopped. But, I had to carry most of the luggage on the Valk. Just no good way to put bags on it. But man, it's fun, fast, handles like a dream and feels like a dirt bike. They made a liquid cooled version which was scary fast. He was 18 when he bought his new and the insurance on the liquid cooled monster would have cost him about as much as his payments so he got the air-cooled version. Then put $1500 into speeding it up. We stayed pretty even from a rolling stop to 100 before he had the chip, pipes and air-box installed. After that he ran away from me.

Looks like it'd be a blast-- I'd take one. The styling is certainly different, kind of like a V-Rod and Monster's baby.

Yamaha had a great bike that is so great that Ducati is copying it.

If I was buying a new bike right now (I'm not, dang it) the Concours 1400 would be it. I really prefer naked bikes it's the only one out there that I like well enough to buy new. If the Rocket was more dependable I'd go that route but I don't want a bike (and dealer network) that may let me down.

I have an older (2006) BMW 1200GS.  I love my Phat Lady for long distanse and just easy cruizin' around, but there are times when I like the lighter , different feel,  want'a do dirt roads (we have many here)and quickness of the BMW...  every bike has its + and -, but the BMW is a blast
