Took the beemer out for a ride today.  It was almost 45 degrees which is still mesh jacket weather.  No heated gloves yet but soon they will come out, full face helmet though with my high tech black electrical tape sunvisor strips

Maybe it was my imagination but I thought I heard the Valkyrie growl as I started the 1150 and warmed it up.  Kinda the noise the dog makes when someone is walking down the block before she starts barking

Took it for a flogging up to Bear Mountain and on the way back stopped for gas as I was down to 1 bar  The bike wouldnt start, battery on the beemer died at the gas station but since I keep the charger in the trunk I pushed the bike to the outlets and in 10 minutes I was on my way again, but I did not turn on the headlite until I was coming up on cars

Now I am gonna look for a dry battery for it and put it in over the winter.  The aux battery was put in the bike in 2006 and I have no idea how old the main battery is.  Maybe I should disconnect the aux battery too,

As I backed the beemer into the garage that Valk was smiling (ok so maybe I have a great imagination) so I got my Valk keys and gave it the same ride, minus the gas station stop.  The Valkyrie rode like it was happy and so was I.

EVen got to blow by 3 harleys on 9 going north along the river.  Thats always fun

Hope all of you got some wind this weekend.

Just got back from a little ride myself. It was around 30 degrees when I left for breakfast this morning. Yea, I had the 'lectric liner going. Had breakfast with a bunch of fair weather riders, and then put around 150 miles or so on. It has warmed up nicely, so now I'll clean the fat girl up again jsut in case this is the last chance out.

Took aride to the monthly Kansas rally in Cassoday, a bit brisk for a while but the long johns took care of that.  Got home in time for the Nascar race at 2 pm, 240 miles round trip.  Very nice weather by 10 am.  Hoser

New rear wheel bearings are on the menu for me so nothing last weekend.
American Legion/VFW ride saturday honoring WW2 Sub Vets down by Tombstone so I'll be in the wind for that with flags a flyin.  Maybe the long way home.
