This morning it was raining and dreary. As we walked out the front door my wife was mumbling something about how I should have fixed the Caddillac so that I'd have something to drive in the rain, which made me smile and happy that I had put it off again yesterday.  She's got a dry Volvo. I don't really want to be in a dry Caddi in the rain.

It was dreary at the house, but it really wasn't raining hard. For the first few miles I could hear the rain pinging off of my helmet, but I couldn't see it. It was a fine misty rain.

Luckily the weather person on TV had mentioned 30 times in 30 minutes that it was going to rain today. She also mentioned everytime that rain made the roads wet.  Wet roads can be slick roads.  I didn't think  I needed such a heavy handed public service announcement that rain made roads wet, but maybe other drivers did. For the most part everyone else on the road was watching their speed and watching where they were going. It made for an uneventful ride in.  It was just me smiling away inside my foggy helmet.

The closer I rode to work the darker and ominous the sky became.  That was probably a sign in itself wasn't it?  The rain became thicker heavier drops that I could see coming.

But overall...not a bad day. I took my time and didn't rush nearly as bad as I do some mornings. It was a little damp, but not to bad.

I dropped my coat on the back of a chair in the office, then walked across the open campus to the cafe for a morning tea.  I think I became wetter walking across campus than I was from riding in. Figures.

Another few hours and I can hit the road again.  cooldude
