Thanx to all the vets, living and dead, and to me too, glad I'm still among the living.  Anchors away!   cooldude

Thanks Big D.

When I came home we went under the Golden gate.  I took this picture.  It was a welcome sight.
Since then many veterans have served.  Many came home, many didn't.  Many came home to be vilified, some came home with affects from Agent Orange, some came home with tremendous physical and mental problems.  Some are held today still against their wishes, the P.O.W.'s.  All gave their country a blank check.

I was very lucky to have come back unscathed.   I was lucky to have taken this picture. I was lucky to have it on the cover of this magazine.  I think that we can all relate to 'Coming Home'.

I titled this picture "America the Beautiful"   It still is in my book.

Big D,
Thanks for remembering. I am proud to have worn the uniform, and proud of the American flag. Today I will be with a bunch of fellow Veterans honoring those who went before us and gave their all. Tonight I will be riding to a ceremony for a KIA, SGT Heathe Craig, with my fellow Patriot Guard Riders. He died while saving 3 others. He was buried in Germany where his widow and children live, so this mission is for his parents.
I have the honor of being the Ride Captain for a 21 year old, Blake Whipple as we bring his remains home to the family tomorrow. Services Sat and Sun with the funeral on Monday. It will be a long week, but when I reflect on what they went through, dieing a heroes death, I am honored to stand in a flag line with other Patriots honoring them. Thank you all whom have served, and those who have a loved one who served or is serving. Please pray for them.

When I was young I hated all the time that my Dad was gone.
It was not till I was older that I learned what he had been through
and seen in all that time.
Thanks Dad and to all the others past and preasent.
