So, what's the deal with Kuryakyn products? Three out of four deep dish bezel turn signal covers have gone south. The tab that the screw goes through just breaks right off. They are about 4 yrs. old but come on, how about a little quality here? Then about three yrs. ago I installed their Ellipse mirrors. They've had small black spots that show up from time to time in the glass. Can't be rubbed off, they must be between the reflective layer and the glass itself. Also the mirror stems are looking pitted. I only ride about a 1,000 miles a year and the bike is stored in a heated garage in the winter. Anyone else have any complaints with Kuryakyn?

Bought a 2008 Goldwing a year ago with Kury floorboards, so they couldn't have been more than 2 years old.  The finish was already flaking off the bottoms, especially the left side. I called Kury to find out if that was a reported issue. They claimed it was not and they weren't willing to do anything about it. Tops are fine; although they scratch easily.

Bought some passenger boards and had to scavage parts off the old boards (bearings, springs, and clips needed to hold them up when not in use) to use with the new because they are too cheap to manufacture a complete assembly that is ready to go as is.

Suggestion:  Take good pictures of the parts you don't like and send them to Kuryakyn with a description.  See what they have to say.

I hav bought several parts and some of my friends have too, from Scuryakin. None of the parts held up. The Chrome usually pits. They say its from where we live and they wont warranty nothing.

I don't buy from them know unless I really have no choice..  tickedoff  tickedoff recall

Yeah, the chrome is one thing, however I still can't believe the lense covers failed. The plastic mounting tab has no stress on it whatsoever. At first I thought maybe the heat from the front signal lights being on all the time may have caused the plastic to weaken and eventually break. But that doesn't explain the rear covers failure. Anyway, I won't be buying from them anymore.

Have you tried fixing the tab back onto the lense?

Found this product last night, http://www.urethanesupply.com/plastifixhowto.php, check the viedo out of how to use. Just came back from my local plastic supply shop, and they have the same type of product. Said it was "super" strengh crazy glue, and some filler plastic. I had a broken stock lense on my Valk, and just fixed it with crazy glue. Don't know how long it will last, becuase the bike is now a write off.

I bought two sets a front and a rear. The chrome started flaking off the front within six months and now about a year the rears are starting. Their chrome has a lot to be desired.

I have the deep dish bezels and haven't had any problems with them. The fronts I put on this spring, the rear set were on the bike when I bought it, so I don't know how old they are.

I've had no problems with Kury products whatsoever. I've had some issues with ShowChrome bolts being weak and stripping out easily. Also, my Cobra rider floorboards are pitted and flaking badly on their undersides.

I dropped by my local plastic shop, and they had the same product (different name) for less money. It's basicly super glue and plastic filler.

I have purchased two different products from Kuryakyn lately with manufacting issues on each of the items. I believe quality control is on the down-hill for them. (Must be getting everything done in China now. ???) One expensive Hwy. footped, I called the dealer up and he contacted Kuryakyn (because they won't deal with you directly.) and was sent another part. The other part didn't have a screw tapped after chroming, so it was no real big deal, but does indicate that they are having problems.
