Hmmm, if it were REALLY an AK47 that'd be a good deal, however it's just a semi automatic AK47 clone, NOT an AK47...

(Yeah, picky picky picky...)

Local news interviewed the guy last Friday and he said the promotion was going well. He also said that of all the calls he has received, about 30% were negative.

If you don't want the gun (voucher), he will give you $400 cash money... cooldude

Clone or not... I'd go to him, just for being an in-your-face pro-gunner.   cooldude

Oh definitely! Don't misunderestimate me, kudos to the guy... I just love how the media twisted a semi-automatic AK clone into a "AK-47 assault rifle". We need to watch our language carefully, lest it be used against us, that's all I was saying... This is NOT an assault rifle...

We have Clinton's Federal Assault Weapons Ban to thank for the inaccurate language.  Prior to that, there was no term "assault weapon."  However, this absurd law defined specific semi-automatic rifles by name, such as AK-47, Colt AR-15, TEC-9, Steyr Aug, Uzi, etc., as assault weapons.  Other semi-automatic firearms that possessed certain features that could be used to make them sound evil, were labeled assault weapons.

Anything from a fork to a six-pack to a bomber jet could be an "assault weapon."
[sacasm font] If you can use it as a weapon in an assault, it should be outlawed, right? [/sacasm font]

(Yes, I know you said assault rifle, but their terminology set the stage)

You can't do much about the length of your life, so focus on the width.

Our local Hummer dealer offered a similar gun giveaway.  Now it's just a gun dealership!

Serk, et al,
To the uninformed it is. Same as an AR-15 and an M-1.
They'll spin it anyway they can to make them illegal.
Its a hunting rifle. Everybody knows that.
I wonder if GM has the FREEDOM  to offer a rifle with a sale?
Here mediweed just passed and its a back door gun grab.  You cant posses nor own a firearm if you have the certifcate. Lots-o-folks are quite surprised when they learn that.
Something like thats not coming for free.

That's been on the books for quite some time.

Come on now... you can't call a six pack an assault weapon!!!  It only has 6 beers!!

Now a CASE.... that has enough ammo in the "clip" ( box ) to be an assault weapon!!   crazy2
