Well... the alternative is for them to touch yer junk... going through the pat down line,,,,,I wonder if they research the TSA rent-a-cop folks for sexual offenders.....
A shame that all common sense is done away with in the name of political correctness............we sure wouldn't want to suspect some guy in a sheet and a turbin getting on a plane....

We need profiling, and we need honest people to have the opportunity to be on a "I already had my background checked" list to avoid this stupid nonsense.

And what about the fourth amendment to the Constitution?

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

There was a story the other day where TSA confiscated a nail file from an airline captain going through the line.  The captain asked - do you really think I would need that nail file to crash the airplane?

Yep, I'm all for profiling.  Doesn't matter who it pisses off.  If you fit the profile, be prepared to have your stuff searched.

Used to happen to me all the time.  The company I worked for would always make last minute reservations resulting in the profile fitting that of a terrorist.  It seems that terrorist usually make last minute reservations.  It was somewhat annoying but, it wasn't their fault so I just kept my mouth shut and cooperated.

I am not defending TSA, but it is a free country...if you don't want to go through security then turn and walk out. There are other ways to travel.

I also agree with Wayne. Wow!

The terrorists want to curtail our freedom.  They want to change our lifestyle.  They want to disrupt our government.  We need look no farther. "We have met the enemy and they is us"

Our government is helping THEM.

Arm  ALL the pilots NOW, let the civilians take on what's necessary.  Profile , Profile, even though it's 'politically incorrect'

What a bunch of pu***** and idiots we've become! (Sorry, make that reference to the TSA.)

Takin it out on the TSA working stiffs is useless.  They don't have decision making authority.  They're doing what they're told to do and trying to keep their jobs.  TSA is part of Homeland Security, Janet "There are no terrorist attacks just man made disasters" Napolitano"s department.  El Al has the most secure airline in the world and they don't do any of this silly male cow droppings.  I agree with Strong Eagle that it is a violation of the 4th Amendment.  You want to complain to somebody then start with Congress.

Airport security staff are the same the world over underpaid morons with too much power and no common sense.

A friends son is a Tactical Firearms Officer (SWAT) with the London Metropolitan Police. He was on the range one day and the next he tried to fly out to Spain to visit his Dad. Got held at the airport due to the explosives residue on his person, strip searched etc etc and as a result his flight took off without him. They wouldn't look at his warrant card (shield) call his boss or anything so he didn't travel. Talk about jobsworths.  uglystupid2

He managed to get on a flight for many £'s more 8 hours later. Needless to say he complained and got nowhere. So he has now raised it with the powers that be at work to see if they can sort anything so it doesn't happen in the future.

Yeah... I got one of those TWIC's also.  I also watched a guy stay offshore for 6 months straight... cause he didn't want to go back to the Halfway House.

Gee, those TWIC's make me feel safe... YEAH, RIGHT!!  It's just another way to collect "tax" from workers to pay for a bunch of people who wanted government work... handing out TWIC's.
