getting my mods together

I've got about 400 miles on my new to me '99. (20K one owner). I just got my Cobra 6 into 6, yeah maybe not the best power, but I wanted 6. I have a new Dyna 3000 in the mail(I ordered 2, but they only had one left), couple belts, K & N, I/S springs. Hopefully it will run good enough, I will make a couple hundred needle shims for future bandaid sales. I've been thru this on the CBX. My plans are a magna charger in the spring, my brothers Turbo CBX will still have double the horse and less weight.
My wife saw the pipes in the house and wasn't as excited as me, imagine that. I will probably pack them.
I'll be asking for tips as I progress,Larry

Only reason not to desmog is if ur worried about the epa someday going into full nazi mode and smog checking bikes. Most likely, even if they do, it won't apply to older bikes.... I de-smogged and am hap :roll:py I got that crap outta there.

I desmogged to eliminate the risk of associated vacuum leaks...
I also helped Stanley Steamer replace the vacuum lines on his still-smogged bike...
It was pretty darn easy to change out the vacuum lines...
I guess simpler is better, but now I'm an eco-terrorist, so it's kind of a toss up...
