Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

Ok, now that HG and Daniel have scared me about turning some guys that I have grown fond of over the last 53 years into crispy creams, I guess I need to order a replacement petcock.  I have been fighting the OEM petcock for awhile. The Pingle looks like a good replacement.  Just wondering for those who use it, do I need to order any additional o rings or anything for fitment and how do you like them?  One bummer is I guess you have to do away with the chrome engine hanger and valve knob on the left side.  Anyone like Truckracer make a replacement cover of any kind?  Also, do you have to order any kind of extension knob or anything to get it to stick out far enough? PS - I have already done the petcock mod, so there is no vacuum line to my petcock - I suppose this is not needed correct?

Any help is greatly appreciated.  If I just order the fuel valve (1311) (in chrome of course) is that all I need to order?

Welcome home!! I put the Pingel (non-vac) on both my Valks.
Didn't have to order anything extra, but I don't know about
your chrome hangers. If I ever get another Valk, I'll Pingel
it, too!! cooldude

Valk Bling (a supporting vendor) has engine hangers for the Pingel.  You can get them with the maiden head or F6 engraved in them.

Mine should be here any day.

The Wolo horn is a good chunk of affordable chrome, functional weight, and leaves just enough room for your fingers to manipulate the Pingle lever.

Thanks guys!  Much appreciated.  I tell you what, that horn mount sure is unique and good looking.  I have a set of Big BF quads that after the mount broke over in Texas and drug until I could stop turned into a set of Big BF duals under the swingarm, I don't think I will change horns at this time, BUT....

I have never seen a horn set up mounted like that and that is an awesome set up - for sure and for certain.  BonS, that set up looks awesome and looks like it belongs there on the Valk.  I have never seen acessories mounted on the engine hanger like that - and it is most sweet.  In my opinion, your set up looks far better than the hanger covers.  The functionality of the horn just flows with the motor.

You know, the duals are not nearly as loud now, so after the holidays, I may look at doing something like that - I really dig the way you mounted them the way you did and like I said, it looks far better than the hanger covers and flows better with the motor - especially with your stacks.

Thanks!  cooldude cooldude cooldude

PS - Ordered the Pingel yesterday - estimated delivery date - 24th - so should be back in the wind on the 25th.

I sat the horn as far forward as possible and can reach with my left hand in to adjust the pingle on the fly. I fabricated a bracket out of a 90 degree steel shelf support. cooldude  Hoser

or you could install a pingle and an electric fuel valve and just leave the pingle set on reserve all the time..unless you pul the tank then you can remove the cover to turn it off.

get a 90 degree corner bracket or shelf suppoert at the hardware store and you can cut it and attach it to the old mounting stud for the standard petcock control.  You can figure it out when you see it. Improvise.  Hoser

I have my 12v outlet and 4 ways mounted there. I guess I could? mount in under the bike. I have a HD horn that seldom works. Do you just run the oem horn wires to the woolo? I'd leave the HD for looks.

Their marketed under as Bad Boy, Steibel and Wolo brands. This is one link http://www.amazon.com/Wolo-Model-519-Chrome-Design/dp/B000PWZR4C.

I plugged the bikes horn wires directly into an automotive relay to activate the relay coil. I then ran a new larger-gauge wire from my auxiliary fuse panel through the relay to feed the current hungry air horn. The horn is grounded right where it's mounted.
