there are 2 of these little metal pieces. what are they and where do they go? and also what is this black part? i think it may be a bank angle sensor but not sure, what does connect to? it is plugged in but i see no place in which to screw it in. thanks guys, i know you will pull through.

The top piece is a retainer for the smog tubes, there are 4 of them. They are not needed if the bike has been desmogged. The bank angle sensor mounts behind the center body panel (the panel the seat release is located in)

ok thanks. the bike has not been de-smogged, where on the smog tubes do they connect? are the smog tubes rubber or metaL thanks again, the bike is just about finished. and i guessed right on that part being the bank angle sensor?

On that bank angle sensor, pay attention to the "up" arrow. If you don't, you'll spend a lot of time cranking and no time starting. As for the smog tubes, they're both rubber and metal. Those clips are hold down clips and go on each corner of the engine, and used to hold down part of the smog plumbing where it plugs into the top of the engine. The front left and right rear are loose items that are held down by a bolt. The front right and left rear are an integral part of the metal chromed tubing that passes under the engine and attach to the bottom of the cylinder head.

They are part number 11. They mount under the nut that holds the intake runner to the head.
