Sexy Valkyrie is debatable. Otherwise fun post.
I have a friend from college that makes jewelry to sale at the NC Renn Fest. She has been trying to get me to come to the fest this year and visit. It is usually a good time, but ours doesn't change from year to year.

Texas RenFest runs for eight "themed" weekends, the best attended being "Highland Fling".

You should accept the invitation. Not only is it a lot of fun, the school marm in you would appreciate the research that goes it the costumes and crafts.

I love this Festival!!

We went every year up till '05 (wife had a severe wreck in '06, hard for her to walk much) and I really miss it.  After the wifes last surgery (sept) I was hoping we might be able to make it this year but it just wasn't in the cards.  But hopefully next year!!

Was the Ded Bob show still there?

The Drench the Wench is always good.

Deb Bob was on the schedule but we didn't see his show. We did see some other acts that were new to us. I've gone with Jill for four years, now.

I went to the Scarborough Renaissance festival in Waxahachie a few years age. I loves it an hoped to go again. I think the one in Plantersville is larger than the one in Waxahachie. I'd like to get down there for that one sometime too.

I happen to have a little "period" costuming for such occasions. I still haven't tried riding the motorcycle in my kilt.

I've never ridden in my kilt, and have no intention of doing so, but I do ride to the Festival (Usually Scarborough, although I make it down to TRF (Houston) every few years...)

I just change in the parking lot. Ya' put the kilt on over and above your jeans, then reach in like a TSA agent and undo your jeans and drop 'em. I tell ya', no matter how many times ya' do it, the alarm bells ALWAYS go off in your head when you feel your jeans coming down in a busy parking lot!

(That picture was actually taken at TRF, I don't have any decent pics of me from Scarborough)

And yeah, TRF is rougly twice the size geographically as Scarborough Faire, but I prefer Scarborough personally, just something about it, hard to explain...
