If someone who has the Galfer lines on an Interstate would be so kind as to take a picture of the cross-over piece, right above the fender, and post it, I would greatly appreciate it.
Reason for request. I got a kit and installed it. Crossover piece seemed wrong, but got it connected and working. Rode if for several months.
This past weekend, all of a sudden, NO front brakes. The top fitting on the right side line broke right at the cross-over.
I think I was given an incorrect part. I would like a picture of one installed to compare with mine. TIA

Did you get the one with the bleeder valve in the crossover that goes under the triple tree. I had to reuse the hangers from the stock setup and get a pair is SS nuts and bolts to hold them to the the stock hardware. Call Gallfer and they will send you a picture. That is what they did for me, i coulkd,nt understand how they mounted. Shortleg[Dave]

Bird, I have found something in the archives that might help. I don't know how to copy a link to this board, but if you copy this link to the address bar it will bring up pictures in PDF format. www.pdfdownload.org/pdf2html/vuzit.phpSorry Bird, just click on it, I now know how to get a link onto the board.

It came up when I first looked at it Wizard, but it says the same for me now. I'll do another search of the archives and see it I can relocate that information.
Ok, Wizard and Bird, try this. Do a search (upper right search not old archives), type in "galfer brake lines". After it brings up the results, scroll down to "Galfer brake lines installation related question". Click on that and scroll down to the second post by "Francois_VRCC863. Click on the link and either view it online or download it, the pictures should come up. Let me know it that doesn't work and we can try something else.

Did you guys find any pictures? If not, I can take some tomorrow and post or email. You know I don't have an IS, but I assume the Galfers on my front end are the same.

Is that an Interstate mounting?
On mine the bolts screw from the bottom UP. This puts an unnatural bend (kink) in the lines going down to the calipers.
Thanks for going to the trouble of taking and posting pictures.

Yep thats a I/S setup. I had to go and buy longer stainless steel bolts to use the stock hooks for the speedo cable/wire.
Your very welcome for the pictures I have to measure but I think I installed the lower sections of brake line upside down since the original mounts or guides on the front fender don't match up with the thick part of the new line.
