thanks for sharing....I went to military school and looked up our Commandant's son and he was listed.  The son, 1LT John Bradman, was a cadet that graduated about 5 years earlier from our school.

I remember the day well when we learned Col Bradman's son was killed in action.  We were called to muster.  We all stood in formation at attention, putting the flag to half mast....a storm blew in just as the flag was being lowered...black sky, quick squall and then it was gone.  It was the strangest occurance I have ever been a part of and is still etched in my mind.  A fitting farewell.

Thanks to all that have served and are currently serving...

I had recently visited the Traveling Wall in Pickerington Ohio.  It was quite moving.  It was held at a local VFW hall.  The presentation was very professional.  It was available to view 24 hrs a day for 5 days.

I am from that era, didnt serve and didnt know anyone that had perished in Vietnam.  However, I was moved by the "feel" of the event and really felt the sorrow that others were sharing as they visited the event.

So many were tracing the names of loved ones, and others were leaving items that meant something to the fallen.  Pictures, love notes, flowers, etc.  All of these items were gathered daily and are to be placed into a time capsule.

A very nice tribute to those who died.
