My folks were in town and I was showing them Valkyrie for the first time and tried the nickel trick.  It was a bit breezy when I tried it, the nickel stayed upright at first but when I increased the revs the wind blew it over.  They got the idea and were impressed, but I wouldn't want the nickel to get blown down in front of a hostile crowd.

The hardest part for me has always been balancing the
nickel in the first place! I'm usually so excited to show it
to a first-timer that my hands are shaky!

I went to show the nickel trick the other day, three guys watching, plus me-not one nickel between us.
Didn't want to try a dime or penny so I asked to just believe me! Now I keep one in the backrest pouch-probably never see those guys again.

Another use for a film can. Gettem while you can at any Walgreens of studo. I keep one in the saddlebag for just such emergencies. Actually I have one with quarters too. It holds $7.00 and that can get you home or wash it if ya gotta.

I have trouble getting them to balance when I raise the revs. Say, to about 80 mph  2funny And I've usually lost the crowd by then.
