My wife is not doing good, very low iron and red cell count, she has had several intravenous transfusions of iron just to keep her from getting worse. Doctors still have not found the problem, she has had an endoscopy, colonoscopy  and even bone marrow testing. Tomorrow she is having a 16 slice ct scan, then a complete MRI. So far every thing has been negative, But it is bad enough, that I worry about loosing her , her health has been getting steadily worse over the last several weeks. She is having a lot of pain, and is having trouble even walking. Please keep her in your prayers.

Bill, I'm so sorry to hear that, you know we'll remember her daily and hope the drs. find the cause. I know what it's like to be in a situation where you're the caretaker.

Keep us posted.

Our prayers for her as well.
My wife has a similar problem and has gone through similar treatments and investigation. She was hospitalized a year ago for the problem and needed blood transfusions.
At present she is doing better with iron injections and pills. They think it is related to her Crohn's disease. She does not absorb iron from the food she eats primarily because it doesn't stay in her long enough. We are very interested in the results of what your wifes ailment might be, because they were not able to tell us with certainty what my wifes problem is.
