As my oldest Valkyrie is about to turn 13 years old, I continue to plan how I will keep replace/rebuild parts once they become harder to find or cost prohibitive.

I like the OEM shocks on the Valkyrie, however the replacements currently cost 309.00 each.  If they can be rebuilt, I am sure the cost would be a fraction of that.  Even though I have contacted a service which rebuilds Showa shocks, they were not sure that the Valkyrie shock could be rebuilt.

Has anyone else researched this?

My current shocks are in good condition with only about 25K miles on them, however that is good info that someone else might be able to use.  I'm simply curious if these buggers can be rebuilt once they go bad...............

Ask Kent at http://www.gmdatl.com/

He rebuilt my ST1300 front forks for about the same cost as a dealer. He's a suspension/frame guru.

Made the bike feel like new again at 78,000 miles.

He has a photo of a customers Harley given to him by the customer. The customer wrote on the photo "Great job, now it handles like a metric".  Cheesy
