is on the next step in his journey.

Some may remember that I asked for prayers two years ago. Ron was diagnosed as having multiple myeloma. He's been through chemo and radiation and a few months ago they found a tumor in his brain.
Treatment began on that. He's divorced and is the sole caregiver for his mentally handicapped daughter.
He's the same age as I am and rides a Bonneville and also drives a sidecar rig to be able to take his daughter with him in events.

Ron and I have shared many stories about riding and his are very interesting.  He is an Englishman and has traveled all over the continent. We've never met but are good friends.

This morning I received an email from him that was sent to his other friends in New Mexico as well.
Ron had a blackout Friday and totalled his Dodge truck. He crashed into a cemetery and with Ron's sense of humor he characteristically said it was a little premature, LOL.  He wasn't hurt but the doctors now will not allow him to drive or ride until they find the cause.

Reading between the lines, the blackout has more implications both for him and his situation.  As the sole 82 year old provider for his daughter, he now cannot drive or ride.   I would ask any Valk riders near Roswell or Dexter N.M to look him up and say hello but Ron is a very private person and he doesn't want to feel obliged to any one.

Prayers would be helpful.

Here's a pic of Ron and his daughter at an event.

Wayne, thoughts and prayers are on their way until further notice.

Also added them to the church prayer list.

Now, on another point.

Seriously, I think I have met this gentleman.  Don't know if it was in New Mexico, Arizona or Texas.     I'm leaning towards Taos, (sp) NM.  He is very familiar or has a Twin brother.

RJ, he has driven an older BMW rig ever since I knew him. He was quite active in the USA (United Sidecar Ass'n). Up until recently he had horses on his small 5 acre spread outside of Dexter, NM.  Last year he bought a new Triumph Bonnie. I don't believe that he had a brother but a sister visits him occasionally from Great Britain.

He retired as a automotive engineer from GM I think.  His English accent is pronounced and he has a long experience as a rider.

A great guy to have as a friend.
