As long as pot is illegal the drug cartels will keep gettin' rich. And, as long they're rich, they've got the money to keep it illegal. I would bet the drug cartels are helping fund the campaigns of the politicians who work the hardest to keep it illegal. And, let's face it, Willy smokin' dope is part of what makes him a national icon. The cops should have just smiled and left him alone.

$35,000 a year to keep an inmate in the Forida prison system, not sure how many are in for smokin pot, but I know there were a lot when I worked for them. Seems like a huge waste of tax payer $.

Willie smokes dope? I bet he didn't inhale or have sex with that woman. Or was that the other Willie? It is beyond me why this isn't legal after all these years. You know, I've never had a stoner get in my face and want to fight.

Well, the way I see it, it's against the law to speed, when I get caught and get ticketed, I pay the fine. Willie was breaking the law. Enough said, pay up.
I don't really care if his favorite smoke is legalized or not but, if made legal, then tax it accordingly.

I read the story I thought it was cool that he didn't try and blame someone else on the bus.

I don't think Willie has ever not taken responsibility for his actions. I'm told he's a pretty honest guy. Besides that, he's old enough to know lying only leads to more lies which eventually catch up with the lier. I like Willie and most of his music. Don't really care about his or your "habits". But, as I said before, he got caught. He isn't whining about it, he'll pay the fine or serve the time if applicable and move on with life and making music. blackrams

Willie is a good man. Bunch of people on that bus. He told the cops that it was his pot.
