Just before Thanksgiving I took my front wheel off the Valk and took it to APEX SPORTS in Colorado Springs to have a new tire mounted. It was only to take an hour so I waited for it. When I  was called back to service to pick it up, they had it up against the wall and upon examining it, I noticed that the wheel was bent. I thought what the heck. I told the Service Mgr that it was not bent when I brought it in and he said that it would be impossible for the tire machine to bend it. He ask the mechanic if he had bent it and he said no. Well........to make a long story short I talked to the owner and she talked to the service dept and without hesitation, or argument, they ordered me a new wheel. My hat is off to them for the way I was treated. They took care of me. cooldude  I picked it all upon Thursday and its on the Valk.   Way to go Apex!       Raymond

I don't know if I would give them too much kudos....not fessing up in the first place and actually bending your wheel would keep me from going back to them.

The fact that the manager is a stand-up person gets the only good grade, but they aren't the ones working on your bike.  I'd find a more trustworthy mechanic if it was me.

All I know that it was not bent when I took it in. Had I bent it while riding, I would have probably went down real hard.

I agree 100% ....No " kudos " would ever be spoken of that place from me quite the contrary in fact.

Whooray - Make the drive up to Aurora Honda - as honest as you'll ever find.  Tell Tim MarkT sent ya.  Tim's the owner.  They have a great Valk / Gold Wing guy on board.  They have always gone out of their way to fit me in.  Of course I slip them a tip every now & then - & sometimes a bottle of hootch for their Xmas party...
