Just wanted to give you a fix of some nice weather. In the 70's yesterday. Now it's gonna cool off starting tonight down here in the swampland. All of next week is going to be freezing in the morning and warming up to low 50's, but this weekend, it sure has been nice. Going to run over to Hard6's Tuesday or Wednesday to change the skins on the front (heck, that E3 was put on during the ride to Tucemcari when Des and Kendell got married up in Colorado - so I sure got some awesome mileage out of it) and change my blown fork seal on the left front and go ahead and service the front end while we are pulling stuff off the front. I reckon with it being freezing in the mornings, I will have to throw on a jacket and some gloves.
So, yesterday I took the grandbabies to get a Christmas tree for the daughter's house and on the way home (in Red's car), we went for some ice cream at the last Borden's Ice Cream shop in the world.

Got the lights on the tree for her and then Red brought me home - she doesn't like to be seen in public long with me.

Older daughter came over for a visit, so I decided to get some wind. Rode around for a couple of hours (followed by a group of nice Harley's for awhile - seemed like nice guys and rode a good line behind me). Finally decided to stop for a coffee at Starbucks.

I was just resting the coffee in the holder. I learned my lesson about riding with a drink in there when I left out by Freedom Rock with a chocolate milk shake that flew out of the holder a mile down the road and man, trying to clean off chocolate milk shake after it has hit a hot engine and pipes - let's just say is no fun. So, after the coffee, I rode around for another couple of hours - you know the ride, got on 2 lane country roads and just got lost - took turns that I have never taken before. Got lost and eventually found my way out again and then went to get lost again.
Had a nice dusk ride.....Sure was sweet. You can feel the loss of fluid in the front forks though.

They are in the process of harvesting the sugar cane down here - so there will be plenty of syrup soon.
Nice day for riding - for sure and for certain. Sorry for the folks that are salted in.

Good news is that it won't last forever, so like my rat terrier said when they cut his tail off, "It won't be long now". Winter can't last forever!
