Blue-flame-painted Harley co-worker who lives in the same town as me here on the California Coast:  "I see we both rode in today.  Nice to have some red, white, and blue on Pearl Harbor Day."

(Our bikes, visible from our breakroom, sitting side-by-side in the parking lot)

Me: "Yeah you're right.  Glad we were able to work that out.  Really cold this morning on highway 1, huh?"

(we live 45 miles away from work, up highways 101 and 1 from Santa Barbara)

Co-worker:  "Well, I keep mine stored at a friends down here so I don't have to ride it long distance."
(silence)

Me:  "Ahh, ok."

Honestly, nothing against Harleys at all, his bike is super nice, but.... ???

And on that note:  I salute all who served, and have served, on this day.  On Thursday, the mrs. and I are traveling to Honolulu to run the marathon.  It's our first trip to Hawaii; the #1 thing on my agenda is the Arizona Memorial.

Go early.......   Get there when he gate opens or you will be in for a long wait.

Don't ask how I know, I was tired and that is my story and I'm sticking to it.
