The "fall back" date was Sunday Novemeber 7th
It's 44 days to the shortest period of daylight on Dec 21st - winter solstice
Why is it 83 days from Dec 21st to March 13th when the clocks "spring" forward??

I can't answer your question however I will add if I could get a clear clean shot at however makes us go on this " dark when I go to work , dark when I get off from work " I'd take that shot Come on summer and all that goes with it.

It has been my thought for years that we should spring forward in the winter so that it stays light till at least 7 PM. Here sunset this time of year is 4:30 PM. That is just wrong, I don't mind working in the dark but when I get home it should be light.

It really doesn't matter in some areas of Alaska. Check out Barrow and Prudhoe Bay - Deadhorse. We will be under six hours of daylight here shortly. But the summers can't be beat.......... Oh but we don't have the summers like Smokinjoe.... http://www.absak.com/library/average-annual-insolation-alaskaMerry Christmas

I think part of the reason they extended DST in the fall was to have more daylight when kids were out on Halloween. Of course, I remember as a kid that part of the fun on that night was being out in the dark!
Another factor might be the analemma. You can find lots of info about this onlline, but the effect is that while the solstice (~12/21) may be the shortest day of the year, neither the earliest sunset nor the latest sunrise occur on that date. The earliest sunset is a couple of weeks earlier, and the latest sunrise doesn't happen until January.

that set of boobs are just plain ugly. More than a handful is a waste.
Besides having been almost that big and packin' em around I know she is mad. There is nothing that will support them and they make HUGE indentations on the tops of your sholders where your straps are trying to support them.

Joe I believe you have missed a Golden Opportunity to use one of your patented lines.
So here is one more chance at the proverbial bite at the apple.
She looks like she may be spoken for as well, with that rock or ring on that finger.
She has also got a very high IQ as well, you can tell the way she has shrewdly found a way
to hide those tan lines.
A very intelligent woman in that photo.

I've heard the timing was chosen for two reasons:
1) It saves more energy to go forward in the spring.
2) Falling back in October was originally chosen in part, because communities didn't want their kids going to school in the dark.
This logic could be flawed. But don't be arguing with me over it, I'm just posting what I've read.......
