Searched and browsed for awhile and finally just said... I'll ask...

To what value should I torque the front rotors and front axle too?

Honda Service Manual lists these numbers:

Front Brake Disc Mounting bolt  14 lbf.ft

  Front axle bolt  67 lbf.ft

If you don't have a manual, best get one before trying such stuff. There is a specific order in which you MUST torque the various parts when reinstalling the front wheel.

If you don't have a printed manual as yet, Dag has one you can download at his valkyrienorway site.

Go to http://www.valkyrienorway.com/download.html.  It's about 150MB.

Alrighty!  Downloaded and extracted... and I am sure I will be finding that VERY useful.  Thanks everyone in helping...

Okay... everything's is back together and seems to be alright.  Took it for 50 mile test ride.  I was also replacing the timing belts... updated with a 4 degree trigger wheel. (the I/S ICM is on the way!) polished everything, including both wheels.... by hand!  Not mirror smooth but still REAL WORK!  The bike had been outside for a year... New Goodyear TT on back... new Metzler on the front.  New battery and repaired the electrical hacks the PO had made adding accessories. Added a fused accessory bank.  Re-packed the rear end... replaced the o-rings, cleaned and chased all the threads.. cleaned, waxed and polished EVERY piece of chrome with Mothers.... even the bolt heads. Six faces on each bolt... one... by... one... by... hand.  Wiped everything with an appropriate solvent and polished... calipers... wiring... plastic.  Buffed all plastic lenses... replace every rubber part in the rear lighting array.  Replaced a good deal of the corroded cadmium coated fasteners with stainless... And finally... just generally "loved on" every part I encountered along the way.

It is looking good...

Today... after owning it since Nov 6th, my Valk finally became truly road worthy.

Now... I need to back out for awhile and have a look at my wing...

It has also become your bike, through and through. Good job! A picture or two would be great. We are always glad to hear about a Valk that has been rescued.
